The pulka is best known for being the sled pulled by adventurers to transport their equipment and supplies on polar expeditions. In Scandinavia, families have adapted it into a baby pulka to enable them to pull young children on winter outings. The BABY GLIDER® is the Canadian version.
The BABY GLIDER sled was designed many years ago by world-renowned Canadian polar explorer Richard Weber. In the mid-1990s, foundryman Pierre Harvey and the CH2 group began producing these pulkas. Some fifteen years later, BLANCHON, an experienced manufacturer of children’s pulkas and expedition pulkas, acquired BABY GLIDER. A few years later, the company ceased operations.

Resumed in 2012
And then a young couple realized that this product was no longer available on the market. Anne and Dominique had had a wonderful time with their two young children thanks to a BABY GLIDER sled. The children’s pulka had enabled them to pursue their favorite winter activities such as cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. They thought it was a shame that this practical sled was no longer available. So they decided to relaunch the production of these exceptional children’s pulkas themselves. A few months later, they acquired BLANCHON equipment. Engineers by profession, they have solid experience in the manufacturing sector, particularly in plastics and composites processing. In 2012, they relaunched the manufacture of BABY GLIDERS with the certainty of offering you a high-quality children’s pulka that will delight your family.
